It was a productive a day...
I went from the T/A in Aurora, Oregon to Willows, California. On my way down, I stopped in Central Point, Oregon (Medford area) for about an hour to take a break, grab a bite and fuel. Then continued on my way to Willows. After I delivered, I doubled back North 30 miles to park at the Petro here in Corning, California. The weather was heavy overcast most of the day with temps in the low 60's. Other spots were clear and mid 70's. I can tell and feel the seasons changing for sure. Somewhere between Weed, California and the truck scales, I saw a double rainbow!!
While I was circling the lot like a Vulture for a spot, my mom called and said the landlord says to remove the oil spots in the driveway by Sept. 30 or get kicked out. WTF?! Landlord says, "it's a lease violation, blah, blah, blah". There isn't hardly any spots to make a big fuss about. Let alone threaten to kick us out! So, my mom and brother have to get out there with lots of "elbow grease" and scrub up the oil spots. I'm out here on the road, so I'm of no use except on saying how to remove the stains. I told them how I used to do it at a gas station job I had years ago. Which is basically getting a push broom with some powdered laundry soap and a garden hose, and scrub, scrub scrub. The main obstacle they face is that the driveway is plain grey concrete that is pretty light colored. So, extra scrubbing is required. The best, but out of the budget option is a power hose that shoots super hot water. I don't know...I hope they can get up the spots I'm not in any mood to move. Anyways, that was my day.
