Yesterday I pulled a load from the Kmart warehouse in Sparks, Nevada to a Kmart store in Santa Rosa, California.
The weather was calling for rain, but as you can see in the picture it was snow! Heading westbound out of Reno, I started to get snow just past Robb Drive. The wind was beyond strong, and blowing snow all over the place causing a "snowglobe" effect. It was hard to see, and keep the truck straight. But like the little engine that could, I kept on going right into the storm. Luckily the trailer had a decent ammount of weight in it to help keep traction and keep the truck from rolling over. That 28,000 lbs and my one million plus mile (1,000,000+) driving experience is what got me up and over "the hill"...Donner Summit.
