I was checking the fruit trees to see how things are coming along. Sadly, they aren't producing very much this year for whatever reason. On my way over to the Peachtree, I started to smell something dead. As I got closer, I saw a dead cat that has apparently been there for a few days or so and was stinking to high heaven. He/she was covered in flies and maggots with a hole in its side. I yelled out to my mom and brother about the cat. They came out and looked. I told my brother to bring me a shovel and a bucket.
With shovel in hand, I scooped up the cat and put it in the bucket. Since we rent, I can't dig a grave for dead critters. So, I took him across the street to the park and dumped him in a trash can. The yard was full of flies that some of them decided to migrate in the house. While the rest eventually went over to the trash can where I dumped the cat. My brother became the "Great Fly Hunter"! Lol
